YouTube Music Recap 2025

This was the first year I transitioned to YouTube Music. I had Apple Music for a few years because it was "included" in my phone plan. I saved $10 by getting rid of it. We were already paying for YouTube Premium, which includes music. It's time for everyone's music wrap. Mine is a little messed up because under my Google account, I have two profiles. One is more secretive, and one is my name. My car uses one, and my phone uses another. It worked out because my kids control the car speakers and we listened to so much Eminem, 50 Cent, and Kendrick Lamar. My recap from my phone is more accurate for me, except that it doesn't reflect what I listened to on solo drives. 

I miss the blogging era

In early September, I started feeling very heavy and disgusted by social media. I miss blogging. I want to read. I want to write. I want to see photos. I'm so sick of short-form video, influencers, rage bait, inauthenticity, and CAPITALISM. I've always longed for friends and community so checking out from social media feels isolating, but it's not real. Maybe I'll write here, and no one will ever see it or interact but that's okay. The documentation is enough for me. 

Life is so so good. I am okay!
